Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. She was named by her parents for the town where she grew as a child. Michel Horowitz is her father as well as Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's dad was born into an ethnically Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. She is the younger sister of Uria as well as two half siblings Jubal and Sunyata. At the age of seven, Ryder was only seven her family moved from Mendocino County, California. Mendocino County California. The family resided in an area without electricity. Ryder read a lot because of the lack of television. Ryder took acting classes when Ryder was twelve years old, in the American Conservatory Theatre. When she was 15, Ryder landed her first acting job onscreen, playing Lucas. Ryder was bullied in high school. Her performing career, she thought, would help her. However, that didn't happen. But she continued to pursue her dream. Beetlejuice, a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first major breakthrough. Ryder continued to play numerous roles that were successful. Ryder was nominated twice for Academy Awards one for her role on The Age of Innocence (1993).
