Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman in business. Her current position is that as president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the owner of the National Basketball Association. Buss hails from California was born into an very wealthy family. Her father Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon, who was later the proprietor of the Lakers as well as other sports companies. After her parents split up in 1972, she believed they'd abandoned her. She joined her family's business when she was 19 and became the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings tennis team.
